Topic:  Giving Directions

     Nowadays technology is an important part of our lives. Everyday people around the world invent new devices or software for every area life. 

 

      You can find an application for everything. Now technology is taking a new approach. We can find many companies offering their services On-Line and this is good because we can access to our content storage in the CLOUD wherever we are. All we need is an internet connection.

      Between these services we can find many educational tools like the ones we have been studying for creating E-Books online. These online tools are really helpful for teachers because with them we can create really nice and interesting content for the students. The tools are really easy to use because they use defined patterns on which we start to create, and also because they have the drag and drop system in which we just have to drag something that we want to the part in which we want it. We can integrate this kind of tool in our classroom for teaching grammar, vocabulary, reading and comprehension, when we want to boost the students’ creativity or imagination. 

 

      In general these types of tool allow us to train students in the writing process and that is really important because the writing skill is one of the most important skills but at the same time it is one of the most difficult to master. The writing skill plays a key role in our lives because it helps us to make our thoughts visible. Throughout the writing we can express in a permanent way our feelings. Writing also helps us to share with people around the world our ideas. Just remember that “The pen is mightier than the sword” The pen is mightier than the sword.

Instructional Technology Conclusion

     During this time I have learn a lot in stuff related to technology. It hasn’t been easy for me because we have to work a lot in every program or tool we study but it is the way in which we can learn to use them. First I had some problems with my work schedule because sometimes I had to stay a little bit late working and I had to miss some very important explanation the teacher gave in class as a result I had a hard time understanding the use of some tools. Another problem I faced during this time it was related to my computer. My desktop broke down and I had to work on a mini-laptop and I had a lot of problems while I was working on Ardora’s activities because some screens didn’t fit on my laptop screen like the one I show you in the next picture

     
       As you can see the buttons weren’t available so I couldn’t cancel or accept to finish this activity.

   

      But not everything was bad. It is true that I had to overcome many adversities, at the end it worth the effort because I learned many things that will help me in the future. To be honest I am already using some tools in my Teaching Practicum. I enjoyed learning all those tools presented in the presentation activity. They were amazing and helpful. Each of them was unique with features that will help us in different situation. Some of them were websites or platforms were we can find all we need. Others were tools that we can use to prepare materials to be developed online. In my case I chose a really simple tool that helps us to create materials not for online platforms but for everyday classrooms. I decided to do that because in our context schools don’t have that technology. Sometimes schools don’t have even a computer so it doesn’t matter if we prepare wonderful activities if students won’t be able to check them. With the tool that I chose, we can create really nice activities at our house like word search, cryptograms, criss cros and many others photocopy them and take them to the classroom. I also liked PHOTOPEACH because it doesn’t seem very complicated but at the same time because you can create wonderful presentations or quizzes with or without a time limit and we can share that content with our friends. I learned that nowadays we can find a tool for almost anything and all we have to do is put a little effort to learn it. Those tools will help us to have a more interesting and interactive class. We don’t have to forget that new generations love technology and if we are going to work with them we have to love it to. We cannot have students from the 21th century with teachers from the 20^th century.
